I really like this illustration, I want to try and do one like it for the Paint Your Face packaging. I still like the idea, I just didn't like how it was turning out.

Invitation Collage

I added more to the front of the invite. I am still working on the inside of the invite. I did it in Bickham and it is much to small. I want to try interesting things with the type.

I worked on making the rags look better.

Organica Packaging Design

I printed on the plain transparent vellum and put the transparent leaf vellum underneath. I'm happy with the way it looks. I need to get more sheets of it for the conditioner bottle and just clean up the bottle and mount it right.

Should I keep working on this for my portfolio?

At some point I would want to add some more unique display faces on another page but wanted to check if this was something that would go into a portfolio or if I should try and come up with something more unique some other time.

Here's a book cover I just did for Barack Obama's book, The Audacity of Hope. I didn't want to include a picture of him on the jacket, that's what the original book cover has.

Packaging Idea #2 Organica

Here's a rough draft of an idea I had for shampoo and conditioner - its organic shampoo and conditioner in a refillable bottle. It would target metropolitan men and women aged 18-35 that are concerned with the environment and their health, stylish, and have money to spend on slightly more expensive hair products sold through salons. I liked the shape of this bottle, I wanted it to look andogynous, modern and simple. I think organic products will become more and more popular. I haven't seen many organic hair products on the market yet.

Packaging Design Draft 1

Here are my ideas for packaging design. The tubes of makeup for lips, eyes and cheeks would be small, like 2x2 inches. The larger tubes for the face would be about 4 x 2 inches. There are two different designs for the girl. I don't know if I should color the whole face or just color in only the eyes, lips or cheeks. The pink background color is probably too dark though.

Here are my designs for the Editorial project. I want to do some cool watercolor effects with the third one (corset) and will post the finished draft early this week. I'm not sure how these would look stretched across two pages though. The red circle is for the A spread, the masked one with leaves is for the B spread and the corset collage is for the C layout.
